What is MP CPCT? — CPCT क्या है?

CPCT (Computer Proficiency Certification Test) is conducted by MAP-IT, the official IT agency of Madhya Pradesh Government. It certifies typing and basic computer skills required for 50+ MP state government posts — Clerk, DEO, LDC, ASI, Assistant Grade-III.

CPCT ke do main sections hain: Computer Proficiency (MCQ-based theory test) aur Typing Test (15 min English + 15 min Hindi). Dono sections mein alag-alag 50% marks zaroori hain pass hone ke liye.

Typing test mandatory hai CPCT certification ke liye. Agar dono mein se kisi mein bhi fail karo — English ya Hindi — toh score card mein "Qualified" status nahi milega, matlab MP government ke clerical posts ke liye eligibility nahi.

How to Select Language? — भाषा चयन

Language selection application form stage pe hoti hai — exam date se pehle. Ek baar submit ho gaya, change nahi hota. Dono English aur Hindi tests mandatory hain.

Language selection application form submit karte waqt hoti hai. Once you select your English and Hindi preference, you cannot change it later. Hindi ke liye Remington GAIL ya Inscript layout ka choice bhi application stage pe hi hota hai.

Both English and Hindi typing tests are mandatory. You must appear in both to receive the CPCT score card.

Important — Score Card Status

CPCT score card shows separate "Qualified" or "Not Qualified" status for English typing and Hindi typing. If you pass English (30+ NWPM) but fail Hindi (below 20 NWPM), your score card will show "Qualified" for English and "Not Qualified" for Hindi. This directly affects your eligibility for MP government clerical posts.

Backspace Rules — correction policy

CPCT mein backspace ALLOWED hai. Arrow keys, delete key, aur mouse bhi use kar sakte ho test ke dauran.

CPCT "Unrestricted Type" methodology use karta hai. You can use backspace, arrow keys, delete key, and mouse during the test. However, only correct words count toward your Net Words score.

Strategy: Practice accurate typing to minimize corrections. If you type 400 words in 15 minutes but 100 are incorrect:

400 words typed, 100 incorrect → NWPM = 300 ÷ 15 = 20 NWPM (FAIL — required 30)
350 accurate words → NWPM = 350 ÷ 15 = 23.33 NWPM (closer, but still need more)
460 accurate words → NWPM = 460 ÷ 15 = 30.67 NWPM ✓ PASS

Backspace use karo corrections ke liye — lekin usse zyada, pehli baar sahi type karne ki koshish karo. Har correction mein time waste hota hai jo aur accurate words type karne mein laga sakte the.

Duration & Time Management — समय प्रबंधन

CPCT mein dono English aur Hindi sections ke liye 15-15 minutes milte hain. Usse pehle mock test hota hai — English: 5 min, Hindi: 10 min.
