HARTRON SETC Typing Test

HARTRON SETC's Part-II typing test requires a net speed of 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi, calculated after mistakes are deducted from your gross speed. You need to clear this net speed in at least one of the two languages within the 5-minute test window. Both speeds are measured using the same keystroke-based formula, so accuracy matters as much as raw typing pace.

SETC applies to Clerk, Clerk-cum-Computer Operator, Office Associate, Clerk-cum-Data Entry Operator, Steno-typist, Data Entry Operator, Clerk-cum-Typist, Assistant, and Clerk/Cashier posts across Haryana Government departments, boards, and corporations. It has since been extended to Sub Inspector (Co-operation Department), Divisional Accountant, and Assistant Lineman (Energy Department) as well. HARTRON SETC uses a keystroke-based formula where every 5 strokes count as 1 word. Your total strokes typed in 5 minutes are divided by 5 to get words, then divided again by 5 minutes for gross speed; your total mistakes are divided by 5 and subtracted from the gross speed to get your net speed.
